The Duke has arrived at Paignton for an overnight stay. The engine will be moved to Bristol tomorrow.
The failure has been identified as a broken lever on the cam follower which jammed the reverser. The broken pieces are now being removed.
A component failure in the right hand cambox has been identified. The loco is now running and being tested prior to a move to Paignton where it will be turned on the turntable.

The Duke is currently stopped on the banks due to a problem with the diesel.

The Duke currently has a problem with its compressor and is still at Bristol Temple Meads. The Duke has been taken off the train and a diesel (67006 Royal Sovereign) put between the Duke and the support coach. This is to provide air due to the compressor failure. Once the diesel is in place, the Duke will continue to Plymouth. Running approximately an hour behind schedule at the moment.

Tonight the Duke was briefly featured on BBC North West in an item about an exhibition at Liverpool's Walker Art Gallery. On BBC1 there was a glimpse of the Duke, just returned from York and back at the ELR. More information about the "Art in the Age of Steam" exhibition can be found here.

The Duke has now left York and is on the way to Edinburgh (see timetable). The platform was crowded with hundreds of steam engine enthusiasts taking photographs with police in attendance to keep people from the edge of the platform. The Duke moved slowly out of the station, the whistle blew and the journey was underway.
The Duke is scheduled to have a punctual departure from the NRM in York, with Bittern 60019 arriving on time from Kings Cross.
